Below is a general recycling guide to wrap up the topic. This is not an exhaustive list but its a good general guide for what kinds of plastic can be recycled. LDPE and PP are becoming more widely accepted at recycling facilities as technology improves but are still not accepted everywhere. LDPE bags can almost never go in your recycling bin but a lot of stores are implementing a bag collection center (pre-Covid). Check with your local stores and recycling facilities to get an exact list because it varies by location. All of the accepted items must be cleaned before going in your bin to prevent contamination for the most efficient recycling process.
One thing not included is color. Black plastic cannot be recycled and should not go in your bin. The sensors in recycling facilities cannot detect black plastic and it will just get thrown away.
Let me know if you have any questions!
